Through five centuries of artistic expression, this exhibition will showcase how flowers continue to inspire artists, blending tradition with innovation.

Curated by Franziska Stöhr with Roger Diederen, in collaboration with Suzanne Landau, the exhibition will feature over 90 works from 10 different countries, highlighting the artistic evolution of floral themes from the Renaissance to the modern digital age.

Prestigious Collaborations and Rare Masterpieces

The Chiostro del Bramante has partnered with renowned institutions to bring together an impressive collection of artworks. These include masterpieces from the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Petit Palais, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Botanical and scientific contributions will come from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London, and the Museo Civico di Zoologia in Rome.

Additionally, significant contributions will be made by the Galleria Borghese, the Biblioteca Casanatense, the Badisches Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe, and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Kunsthalle München, emphasizing the continued artistic and scientific fascination with flowers.
